1. go
here2. pick a character
3. reply with character request in the subject line, build up a scene of your preference (tl;dr, au, canon, crack, short, I don't even mind)
4. I will bang it like a heavy metal band
(shamelessly ganked from the lovely
sugartits)
be gentle, I should probably have reread more of the canon before pretending I could play him
Next thing he knew the little bastard was somewhere most easily defined as not there, somewhere else, somewhere well away from Gokudera.
He isn't calling out as he prowls around trying to find the little whelp but he is radiating fury as determinedly as he can. If he called out the cat would just take off and he wouldn't be able to pick him up by the scruff of his neck and inflict the many terrible tortures Gokudera has planned.
Eventually, he sticks his head out and discovers Haru. Haru and his traitorous cat.
At least Uri is safe - it would be just like him to get hurt and demand Gokudera patch him up - but that still leaves him how to wrestle him off Haru.]
He scratches and bites.
[Yes, ferocious that purring box animal. He's going to take her eye out any moment.]
don't worry i haven't touched canon in 16 months
Haru feels very sorry for Uri.
But it doesn't mean she doesn't startle when Gokudera talks, because did he hear her talking about him?] Hahi! How long have you been lurking around? And what are you talking about, Uri-kun's been nothing but lovely to Haru.
no subject
He's wondering what he could have missed though.]
Tch, he's waiting for the right time.
[Gokudera steps closer with all due caution. He's surprised to see Haru with a book, even if she's messing around with a terrifying (purring) beast instead. He reaches out and - yep - Uri takes a swipe at him. He glares at the cat and retracts his hand.]
no subject
[Her hand goes up to pet Uri's head, and the rest of the discourse is aimed at the animal.] Maybe if the silly boy treated you more like a friend and less like a creation.
no subject
She obviously doesn't spend much time around Gokudera - he does treat his friends like that.]
Maybe if the bastard remembered I feed him he would respect his master. [This is getting awkward, he's pretty sure. He's showing how little control he has over a deadly killing machine in front of practically a civilian.
Instead of trying to force Uri back into his box - a futile endeavour - Gokudera takes the spare chair next to her. This can be... infiltration training. So they can send Uri in under the guise of being adorable and then he can wreck the place like the terror he is. He nods at her book.] What's that?
no subject
Her attention's brought back to her book by Gokudera, and she blinks and looks down at her lap.] Ah, this. It's a conversation book, to Italian. I'm trying to learn. [So I can ninja out of this joint.]
no subject
He makes teenage boy grunt number seventeen at the book, leans forward and takes it, ruffling through and thoroughly losing her place.]
Why buy a book when you're surrounded by people who speak it?
no subject
Give that back, I - [The question makes her pause, blink.] No-one has time to teach Haru. Everyone's busy with training and...stuff - I can do things on my own too, you know? I'm not going to sit and demand a tutor until I get one.
no subject
Her point about everyone being busy actually sounds sensible.]
Your pronunciation is going to be fucking terrible. [He slouches down in his chair.] Run it by me first before you bring shame to the family. [And with Uri throwing a kitty hissy, he's got fuck all to do.]
no subject
Until she recognizes it for what it is: Gokudera sucking at offering his help to anyone that isn't Tsuna. He's really bad. She laughs a little, and shakes her head before settling back in her chair, glancing at him from the corners of her eyes as she opens her mouth and Italian comes out.] You're so silly. Have some trust in Haru.
no subject
If she's going to show off he figured she should be able to handle him replying in kind.]
Trust is earned. And I'm not silly.
no subject
She struggles a bit with is earned, not understanding that word; but the negation is simple - it makes her smile and let out a little laugh before shrugging. Maybe you think you aren't, but you are.] What does 'is earned' mean?
no subject
He rubs a wrinkle out of his sleeve, only to have another take its place; it's one of those shirts. He's never taught language without a guide, isn't certain which approach to take.] You have to work for it. Like, money is earned, friendship is earned and responsibility is earned.
no subject
Surely, someday someone will notice her as more than just the sidelined girl. Surely.]
Ahh. So you don't trust me?
no subject
No.
[Awkward. His shoulders hunch up to his ears.]
Not yet.
no subject
It hurts that Gokudera doesn't. Sure, they're not the closest, but... She thought he, of all people, would see loyalty and recognize it.]
no subject
Trust is for people without enemies.
[It's a reason at least, even if it is a lie.]
no subject
If I wanted to betray you, I could've done it countless times before, Gokudera.
[She pauses, before leaning in and dropping the cat in his lap - fully calmed, for a while - before snatching her book away.] It's a shame, because Haru would trust you with her life, thug or not.
no subject
You could be waiting for the right moment. To launch into sabotage.
[He doesn't want to think about her trusting him with her life. She's an outlier, he wouldn't know what to do if he had a hold on her life. Probably help - try to.] I'm not that much of a thug.
